    Hello,
I'm a T-mobile user and my contract is up next month and i'm interested in a blackberry. I love the 8830 but heard it's only through sprint. Is there another blackberry that is close to what the 8830 offers ? I'm due for an upgrade next month and wondering what blackberry/pda is ideal?

Just get the Curve 8320, with Wifi. Unless you want GPS!

Naviwilliams ? I was going to ask you because you seem like the expert on this subject. Thanks for the answer. Do you like your curve ? I cannot wait to upgrade. I have the worst phone and hate it. Are the blackberry 8800, 8100, etc close to the 8830 in features ? What makes the 8830 special compared to the others ?

The 8100 is not like the Curve much at all, if you want a full BB then you're better off with a full QWERTY.

8800 is amazing but not the best if you want a camera. 8830 I THINK just works in countries that don't have normal networks (3G, GPRS, GSM).

2nd for the Curve with T-Mobile. I don't miss the GPS since I have a separate unit. You can get a bluetooth GPS puck. For a short time I just used Google Maps for turn by turn directions.
Make sure to get the $20.00 bb plan. You won't regret it!
