Joining the ranks of just about every other wireless carrier in America, T-Mobile has decided to increase their text messaging rates (while simultaneously decreasing the cost of each MMS). As has been the case when other carriers have made similar moves, this constitutes a material breach of contract on T-Mobile's part, allowing customers to jump ship without paying the hefty $200-per line ETF. I can confirm that this works, as I just canceled two lines hours ago, but as always, your mileage may vary depending on the CSR you get...

Looks like as soon as one carrier decides to increase, they all follow suit. Hopefully they won't increase the rates of my SMS/MMS package.

I still dont understand why your carriers say you get inclusive texts but that counts for your incoming and outgoing texts...thats the niggest rip off i have ever heard of...

My wife gets 1000 texts and thats just to use for outgoing...imcoming is free....

...believe me. Anyway, I signed a contract with T-Mobile today, and they have you sign a wavier to say you agree on July 1st, the prices of SMS/MMS will change.

...just a trick to stop you form opting out of the contract, come July 1st...

I don't think I've ever come close to using more than 20mb a month.

I remember checking my work T-Mobile bill once, for my line. I think I was using something like 5.6mb. So, nothing really.

I love my BlackBerry, but sometimes, I just have to use the pc for browsing..

I think the only way you could get to 2GB is to use your BB to tether. Whenevr I use mine to tether, I can definitely see the difference for my monthly total.
