Yesterday I was on my brothers blackjack 2, and I had previously looked into getting a curve, I'm wondering how the Internet is on the t-mobile curve, compared to the blackjack with 3g? is there a significant speed difference? on the t-mobile, can you still watch youtube clips, or is it not fast enough?

I had a friend who had a blackjack and we were browsing the web on each our phones trying to find something. I found it was really quite the same. That was when I was still on 4.2 OS though. The way the page loads as in format was different. It looks more computer like on the blackjack but that's also why there is opera mini and OS updates. One thing I def didn't like about the blackjack was that it felt like a dummie phone. Like if I dropped it it would break into pieces. Blackberry's seems more durable not that you'll fling it across a room or anything but I didn't like how the blackjack felt in my hands.

I think that page load times may be more related to the speed limitations of the network than the phones.

More t the point is how good the browsers are and we all know tha unless you have OS 4.5 installed then the BlackBerry broswer is not that great.

OS 4.5 BB Browser is really that much better?

I was contemplating upgrading but what kind of improvements are you talking about off hand?

In the browswer options if you have everything selected on 4.2 then it slow down a lot. Then the 3g is faster but if you don't have everything selected such as support embedded media and those then its also just as fast but then the blackjack browser looks better. On 4.5 you can actually have everything checked off to look more computer like without slowing down the phone.

Interesting, so the browser itself for all intents and purposes is faster in the software at displaying and keeping up with the data speed on the network.

I may have to bite the bullet and update my Curve then, just weary of some of the bugs that come along with it.
