Help! Is there any way to do this? I lost my job (but not my Curve) and in the process, lost my free BES. Now I have a Curve with 1200 contacts and no way to get them out. I can't afford my own BES yet. Is there any hope?

Get a gmail account and sync them with Google Sync. From there you should be able to export them to whatever.

ETA: you could probably also sync them to a PC running Outlook, but I don't use Outlook so the how-to would have to come from someone who does. Good luck!

I have been trying the Googlesync trick for two days, but it always says, "server problems." Chelsea, my DM syncs calendar and email, but not contacts without BES. Does yours?

That's odd. Mine syncs just fine, I added a new contact just yesterday. Have you tried re-installing the Sync app?

The most recent version of Google Sync seems to actually work... vs previous versions for me. You can also use Desktop Manager on your home PC and do an ASCII sync from the bb to the desktop. At least then you'd have a safe backup of all your Contacts in a .csv/Excel format.

If it is just Contacts then you can sync to Outlook Express using the free Desktop Manager from here https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

Get version 4.6 with no media manger as it is the most stable.
