I have a theme set up and I changed the background image.

The problem is that when I synchronize via desktop manager the background image changes back to a prior image that I had.

Does anyone know why or what setting I might need to change to prevent this?

It sounds like you have your background image saved on the media card. When plugged in the PC gets exclusive access to the card and the BB will revert back to the default wallpaper. Try moving your wallpaper to your device memory and that should fix it.
