I recently upgraded both my Blackberry (from a curve to a Bold) and my pc orerating system - (Windows XP to Vista.)
I am now unable to synchronise my address book and calender to my PC. One of the reasons that I buy a Blackberry is that my partner and I can keep each other's calenders upo to date.

I don't own a copy of outlook or outlook express, but even if I did, the desktop manager doesn't seem to recognise them when I bring up Synch options.

Can I get it to recognise Windows contacts and windows calender?

Do I have to use the ASC11 importer/exporter? How do I set this up (and yes, I've been trying.)

Can somebody please guide me to a faq which tell me how to do this.

another idea is to use Google Sync services or that MIQ service ( Free mobile phone contact, photo, video and text message backup :: mIQ ). you can import your windows contacts and calendar to either of those and wireless sync to your phone. it might be a whole lot more simple.
