I was having memory issues with my 8300, so I called ATT and told them it kept freezing etc. etc. now they're are sending me a NEW 8310 to replace it! I know it's very little difference because of the GPS but it's still sweet!

yeah, i was on the phone with the dude for about 4 minutes, it's a business account so maybe that's why it was so easy. He said the reason they won't send me an 8300 is because they don't ship those anymore.

I believe if you buy the BB refurbished, they only give you a 90 warranty compared to 1 year with a new one. At least that is with ATT.

Nope, it's the same warranty. I bought my 8300 refurbed (only 4$ can you believe it??) and this will be my third BB! First one collected dust after about a week under the screen.

    Glad for a new 8310...

I am thinking of getting a refurbed 8820 to complete my AT&T blackberry craving as I've had every one since '05 except the 88xx series.

the refurbs are a 90 day warranty, thats the standard for warranty's if you buy them, if AT&T send you a refurb as a replacement than you keep the remaining warranty.

With AT&T, the reconditioned phones sent thru warranty do NOT change your exsisting warranty that started with the purchase of your first handset. Any phone purchased as a reconditioned phone ( at store or online ) comes with just a 90 day warranty. I know this to be fact, cuz this is the warranty work that I do!

That's weird, maybe you guys are right, but I definitely got a one year warranty with my phone (refurb). It started that when I purchased it. I replaced it after about 1 month (dust under screen), and I'm now replacing this one after about 7 months of my original purchase date . WOOT
