I'm not sure how many others feel the same way, but BlackBerry has been on the ball lately, and it's amazing!

BBM rolled out (even though it was for the second time) and it went really well, they had an update for the iOS issue within days, they nailed the 10.2 rollout (in my opinion), and now they released a new beta of BBM Channels which will fix the missing dark theme for BBM on 10.2. We haven't seen this kind of attention in a loooong time! It's kind of sad that it's coming at a time when they could be taken over in a week.

Either way, I'm a REALLY happy BlackBerry user right now! All I need to see is some major BBM advertising now!

Just noticed this too - it seems like they are finally being as aggressive as they need to be. This is the message it asks me if I want to share when I installed the new BBM Channels. Take that, WhatsApp! haha

The new Channels version is 10.2.20.68 it looks like. I have that installed on my Z10 running 10.2.0.1791, and dark theme is there. I imagine it would be the same for the Q10.

BlackBerry is definitively doing better. TH has being telling people, that they were focused on laser sharp delivery, and even though they missed BB10 with 4 month and BBM with one month they seems to be more productive now than ever before.

IMHO BB grew way to fast (from 3000 to 17000 employes in 5 years). The company became non-efficient and unfocused as they tried to expand in many directions.

With the failure of selling BB10 devices, they are now forced to be 110% focused and agile to have the slightest change of getting back in the race. They are working hard on that, but they have a lot of internal mess to deal with, before they have achieved that goal.

Define better..BBRY makes money selling hardware and services not free apps..All other manufacturers have reported record sales and Blackberry reported a horrible quarter and you are optimistic??? On top of the fact that they are begging almost all companies to buy them because they are aware that Fairfax does not have the financing to take them private.

In general it has. I'm not impressed with the 10.2 rollout due to the huge gaps an in time of availability(a week - march depending on area).

I do applaud BlackBerry for a well executed BBM release. I cant praise them too much for this being that it wasn't during the time it was set to release.

Glad to see them overall stepping up as far as getting things done! Isn't that what BlackBerrys are for?

...with the holidays imminent, BlackBerry need to go full steam ahead. You know, based on past years, the number one gadget sold for Christmas was an iPhone of some sort. Hence BlackBerry need to advertise, market and push, push, push, period!

Ever since my first experience with BlackBerry a few years ago with my Curve 9300, I already loved BlackBerry. Then I got my 9900, and I didn't think things could be any better. Then BOOM. BB10. The best thing I've ever touched so far. Considering I've already said that about my old 9900, I wouldn't be surprised is BlackBerry came up with something even better.

    I love the progress.
