So we know that BlackBerry will be airing a 30 second spot sometime during the big game produced by the UK firm known for the 1984 Apple Macintosh ad, as well as the Snickers "...you turn into a diva when you get hungry..." ads.

Well in the fourth quarter Samsung Mobile will also be airing an ad, but to the tune of 2 minutes with actors Paul Rudd and Seth Rogan.

Samsung Mobile Super Bowl tease “El Plato Supremo” - SlashGear

    And my local newspaper

Celebrities, humor, babies and cute animals will once again rule the commercial breaks on Sunday during Super Bowl XLVII, advertising's biggest showcase, when more than 111 million people are expected to tune in. Marketers have spent millions and pulled out all the stops to 'wow' viewers this year. Here are 10 spots they hope will make you skip the bathroom break or beer run for during the big game:
    1. Samsung Mobile's 2-minute ad in the fourth quarter called "The Big Pitch" stars "Knocked Up" actors Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen and was directed by Jon Favreau ("Iron Man"). The company has not released details about the ad's plot other than to say that it shows Rogen and Rudd on a "quest to become the next big thing." A teaser ad shows Rogen and Rudd trying to talk about a Super Bowl ad without saying the words "Super Bowl."

Do we know the RIM ad will be 30 seconds?
Maybe both companies could do something like the Bud Bowl.

    It's assumed.

Also, 4th quarter ads (like samsungs) are hte cheapest. If hte game is a blowout, Samsung just wasted alot of money.

My big concern is ..... what quarter is the BB ad going to be in? Praying for first quarter!

    Most anticipated ad:
    1) Mercedes ad oith half naked chick
    2) Blackberry 10

    ....

Samsung ad hasn't even been mentioned in the top 10.

I hope it's not one of those mexican ads where its mostly moaning and they use up 28 seconds on showing girls and hearing moans and the last 2 seconds they say "Blackberry z10!"

    No, it isn't "assumed".
It is confirmed, that is what BlackBerry's CMO said in the press release.

Usually by the 4th quarter, the great commercials have already been aired, some even more than once. I don't know that they ever really stick out after the first half.

I'm hoping the BlackBerry ad is early and sticks out
