Maybe I'm reading too much into the latest Facebook/Instagram post by BlackBerry Mobile, but it certainly gave me the sense they were implying a conclusion to their run of BB devices. Any thoughts?

No worries. They're in it for the Long Haul.

Nah, I don't see that being a farewell message at all.

That sounded better two years ago when they had a chance to reinvent the brand, build partnerships with carriers and capture the enterprise business....

Since they are also hash-tagging the Keyone, Key2 and Motion this implies to me that they are simply announcing the completion of their current product line up with the addition of the two remaining colors in the LE line.

Almost choked on my beer, how can that possibly be seen as a negative? if anything they are showcasing their offerings and that can only be seen as a good thing!! #TeamBB

I read "a full lineup" to mean offerings at more than one price point, and a maybe a few limited editions like the color models of the LE. Thus, the post is simply a summary of the lineup.

Yeah, I'd agree that 4 different devices is enough to constitute a lineup.

Motion and KEYone aren't in production anymore.... pretty much only available in Canada and from 3rd party sellers on Amazon at this point.

Current Line up is really just the KEY2 and KEY2 LE. For the PKB market, I expect that's more than enough.

Hell I am expecting a solid KEY3 next year as the upgrade of my KEYone. Top priorities: less sticky/mushy keyboard with more durable keys (had to have mine replaced because they came loose) and more RAM. And of course, more frequent security updates ideally. Maybe some good bluetooth codecs too.

So does the KEY2 not meet those needs?

I'm just not sure the PKB market will support a yearly refresh. It will be too early for 5G for BBMo and not a lot they can do to improve the KEY2, without pushing the price.

    CES...

If BBMo has something brewing next year, I'd expect it a MWC and not CES. Especially as we don't have much in the way of leaked info coming out of the software. MWC is probable too soon, as we already had all the specs on the KEY2 at this point last year.

Yes the KEY2 definitely could be something I'd use. But I don't switch phones yearly so I was already planning on skipping a generation

In the sense that a broken clock is right twice a day. But yes and I never got more AT&T versions.
