Currently I have a Curve 8310 which I bought thru SunCom just before they were taken by T-Mobile, so now my carrier is T-Mobile. I'm wondering if I can get a used (UnLocked) Storm and simply transfer my sim card?

Also, is there a serial number to avoid in buying a used Storm or are all first edition Storms the same except for upgraded software??

Yes if you buy an unlocked storm you can use it on T-Mo net. The other part I can not answer sorry.
