Storm on O2?
Hi all,
Brand new to this site so please dont get angry with this question if it's obvious.
I have checked the search facilities but I'm still a bit confused as I'm getting contradicting advice.
I bought an unlocked Storm from ebay. I have a contract with both 02 and
"3".
Is it possible to get the storm working properly on either of these 2 networks.
So far I seem to be hitting a brick wall when talking to both their customer services.
I can make phone calls but cant access any internet or emails.
Please I would be so gratefull if any one can help because I'm getting so frustrated I want to smash the poor phone to smitherines, even though I know its my fault for not checking up with 02 etc 1st.
regards,
Ioannis

It should be a simple matter of downloading your service books from your carrier, if they have correctly configured your account for use with a BlackBerry.
Are you able to run the E-Mail setup program and configure your accounts?

O2 – The UK's Leading Provider of Mobile Phones, Broadband & SIMs
O2 UK does market BlackBerry 8900 and 8520 according to a site search. Unfortunatly, they detect I am making an inquiry from outside of the UK and will not provide me with the information.
In order to sell BlackBerry products, they must have the correct BlackBerry Internet Service package available. The next challenge will be convincing them to add the BIS service to your existing O2 service package.

You need to get it unlocked for it to work on o2 as the storm is only on vodafone in the uk
once it is unlocked it will work with any sim card
not 100% sure how you get it unlocked but googling will find the answers

o2 wont help you get it unlocked so dont contact them and if you have problems with your phone o2 wont be able to help as its not their phone, and i dont think that vodafone would be too helpful either as you arnt using their network!!
