Just in case some of you are interested in the Storm and you are a Verizon customer, if you go into your account and checkout the device, it now comes with a $50 promotion bringing it down to $149. Will ship by 12/15.
I think this is only for people eligible for a NE2 discount($50 Upgrade), because its not showing up like that for me.
But I am a brand new customer. I bought 2 storms. And I went into my account and if I were to add another line it's coming up as $149. Now I only see that price once I put it select it like if I am going to checkout. I will see if there is a way to post a jpg.
Are you getting a business discount? I am not the primary line on my plan, but still get a better discount than the NE2 incentive, I got my Curve for $105, no rebates, nothing, just my business discount.
You are correct about the NE2 plan. I am almost at the end of my contract and they are willing to 'enable' me 2-3 weeks early for the Storm purchase. And the standing cost is $199 less the $50 rebate - for the final good deal of $149 after the several weeks of waiting for a rebate. [Which comes as a $50 Visa card.]

When I got my Curve, they gave me a choice: $150 with a $50 mail-in rebate, or $105 with a business discount. I figured the $5 wasn't worth the risk of the rebate not being redeemed or getting lost in the mail.
What about if i have the choice for a 1 year extension?
Will it be cheaper?
Any time you do a 1 year contract whether new customer or existing ou will pay a bit of a higher price for the phone because you will not be "stuck" with the carrier for an extra year. I however was to get my Storm for around the price of 2 year contract on 1 year because I work for VZW.
my girlfriend was able to get the storm online at verizon for $149.99 then she gets a $50 rebate. So $99 after rebate is a pretty awesome deal. I forget the exact term, but she was eligible because she fulfilled her 2 full years and had over $79 MRC on her bill. She was eligible to get $100 off any phone because of it. Awesome deal!
Those rebates are somewhat negotiable. When I got one of my first two Storms the manager waived the mailin and made it an instant rebate if I agreed to do the deal. These guys make most of their money off the service. So if you haven't purchased yet, by all means bargain with them.
I upgraded early and they gave me the Business discount of $199 for the phone. I was suppose to wait 2 more months for the the 1 year upgrade. Although with the total **** I went through with my pearl it seemed appropriate.
So has there been a price change, or is someone posting this that has different methods of getting a discount?
I just joined verizon, and if i qualify because of a price drop I would like to contact them. If its just some long time customer who has additional credits of some sort, it will save time.
Don't forget to go online and see if you are eligible for a trade-in program .... I traded in my MotoQ and got $53 for it .... so it brought the actual cost of my Storm down to $47
