    Hello,

Is it possible to cut off only the mail receive function for the night ?

In the option, I have only found an entry to desactivate the entire BB beetween 2 moment ...

    Thanks !

If you want to be awakened by the phone, but nothing else, use the Phone Only profile.

    after a night : it's ok, I slept like a BB

but : the email continues to come to the BB.

Is ther a possibility to cut off COMPLTELEY mail reception for the night (to avoid bandwitch consumtion) ?

Try this: Options > Security Options > Firewall. Make your adjustments there.

Is it not about the same amount of data, whether you receive them as they arrive or collect them on the server and download them all at once? The emails will be the same size. I doubt the message overhead is significant, either way.

In fact, you're right ! It must be exactly the same amount of data !

so I will only set my BB in silent mode for the night and it'll be ok !

You better send an email in the morning.

You can either go into the bis and set the do not forward option b4 you turn in. Just remember to turn it on the next day. Or just turn off all data b4 you turn in - and of course like everyone said put your phone on silent.
