I bought mine last week and never look back. Of course it's relevant. Just buy now, just to wait until passport got a price cut or a new all would device use released. That's my plan anyway. So I'm keeping this device for at least a year.

I'm sure you can answer that question yourself.

Is it smooth, fast fluid, etc.? Yes

Will it get futures updates? Yes

Does it have a good camera? Yes

Does it have a good front facing camera? Yes

Does it have good battery life?

Does it have a good screen? Yes

That's pretty much it.

If you care about hdmi, expandable storage or replaceable battery, it has the first two but not the latter.

The whole caring about how it compares to the competition specs sheet wise is stupid. All that matters is how it runs and if it has what you need. No point in having the most high specs if you won't even use them or need them.

Frankly I find the specs very poor when launch price was on par with Apple iPhone, BB are meant to be shifting devices to break even on running costs as priority, not overpricing over better Android spec devices.

The Z30 is the best BB10 device available. Take that at whatever you feel it's worth.

I'm very happy with mine; decent performance and to me it has a nice, premium feel.

Worth noting that you may be able to get one used for an excellent price once the Passport drops in September...
