Ran a speed test on my Storm 2 today here in my office to check the speeds of WiFi versus Verizon 3G. Here are my results:

WiFi Download: 3810 kbits per sec average / 4074 kbs max
    3G Download: 1143 kbs average / 1143 kbs max

Wi-Fi Upload: 292 kbs per sec / 293 kbs max
    3G Upload: 41 kbs average / 114 kbs max

No offense, but this is comparing apples to oranges...what would be the point of this test? No one should expect for a moment that 3G is going to be faster than wifi, unless the wireless router is connected to a terrible internet connection...

Who wrote that they "expected" the 3G speed to match wifi?? LOL!

I did not expect the 3G to be faster than WiFi. But one thing I noticed is that 3G is not as fast as I thought it was. I get better speeds on T-Mobile Edge than Verizon 3G.

I used a program called Speed Test from Xtreme Labs that I downloaded to the Storm 2. The link is:

I happen to have a horrible internet connection. I have Verizon DSL and my dad is currently using a plan so slow that they don't even offer it anymore.
$15/mo gets me 768kb/144kb. Its kind of sad that my phones 3G is faster then my computers wifi. I find this information very useful, thx.

I would say there is something definitely wrong perhaps in the router setup. This is what I get with Comcast from my home PC.
