I just got this email from my Verizon Wireless sales rep and he says this...

So soon and no advertisements on this date, but this is great news regardless for us on VzW. Enjoy!

I'm assuming this will be the official purchase date too since he didn't mention anything about a pre-purchase. He is always really good on getting me information. I had contacted him awhile back, and he said he would get back with me and let me know the release date.

I thought VZW only gave you 7 days to return your handset and pay a restocking fee to get another phone? I'm with VZW and was just wondering how it all work. I ask because if the Z10 doesn't blow me away I will be paying that restocking fee...

My reliable source says pre-orders 3/21 and available 3/28 . . so, not saying I'm right, just saying until its announced it shouldn't be posted like its fact.

If its going to be available on the 15th they need to get units to the stores soon and I'd bet we'd be hearing about that momentarily. Perhaps pre-order on the 15th for availability the 22nd? Any difference in return policy may be different for consumer v. business accounts?

VZW told me 14 days, although the manager has authority to be flexible if warranted.

Well considering he works for corporate and is my companies Verizon account manager, I'm not sure why he would give me false information, unless he knew the facts. Nothing is never 100%, but I figure since this is coming from Verizon directly, it should be fairly legit.

It sounds like you have the unique opportunity to upgrade to a 9930 for a couple of weeks then switch to the Z10. If your 9650 is dying, you don't want to miss out on owning the 9930 at least for a while. Its a great phone.

Heard the same thing from an employee today. Still fighting to keep my hopes in check, but it gets more difficult the more I hear of this. All in all, I stand by my previous assertion that I'd rather hear false rumors than hear nothing it all...
