I've noticed a bunch of the BlackBerry BBM team is going to be at CES this week. Since the beta has been out for a few weeks now, think that maybe the official updates will go out this week at CES. Maybe even with another BBM announcement like possibly a desktop version, or QNX and vehicle integration.

I know I'm just talking out loud without any proof, but CES would be an ideal time to do this, especially since BlackBerry is aimed on showing that it's becoming more of a software oriented company and we know they aren't making any device announcements soon.

One of the questions in the last BBM beta 3 survey was if we think that it is ready to be releases publicly. I suspect OP is correct in his thinking.

I think the Beta will be out for at least 6 months before the actual release of Channels. Android and iPhone users should suffer the wait.

Probably just saying a few months. They can't say this week or anything until it actually gets announced. It would be ridiculously stupid to have a beta going for 6 months.

A 6 month beta would only bring it back 4 months before it's 1 year cross platform anniversary
