I feel like a dork but I don't know what it's really called. When talking to someone I can hardly hear them. The volume is all the way up and sitting correctly on my ear. Sometimes it sounds like they are far away from their phone and other times it almost sounds as if they are holding a cup to their mouth and talking into that. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?
Try to clean out the speaker slit first with some compressed air or a toothpick. Be careful if you use something to poke around in there, you don't want to damage the speaker.
On some old phones I had, the speaker just got a bunch of dirt and junk in it making it very difficult to hear anything thru it.
