One of the email messages is being forwarded via my friend's BB to an unknown email address. He didn't forward the email himself. Has the BB been affected by virus or something? Do anyone has any idea about what this is about?

How many other emails has your friend gotten on the BB have been forwarded? Is it just that one message? If it's only one, not likely a virus.

I don't know of any.

He made a count just now and there're total 6 emails forwarded. How could that be possible?

Was the 6 that were forwarded all of his incoming messages or just certain ones?

No he didn't change his password but i'm not sure whether those emails forwarded are all incoming messages. Why ask?

This is confusing (to me). Please explain

1. Where are the mails being sent to?

- An email address the BB's been set up to collect mail from, or
- The BB's 'own' email address

2. How do you know it's being forwarded to an unknown address?

3. Are they all from the same person? It may be that person's email system that's be compromised and all the mail they send to anyone is being forwarded elsewhere...

Basically, consider the route the email takes, and who it's from. It potentially could be being compromised at any point.
