I prefer the side because of landscape mode... charging contacts would make the most sense on the bottom(miss just dropping it on the charger)

You read my mind!! I miss charging contacts soo badly on my playbook and 9900 please BlackBerry listen to us and bring them back i will instantly buy the next phone that has them included!

USB on the bottom would make its gay when using with a dock, its a better alarm clock when its on its side and better mobile PC or media device on its side then it is standing up

I'm a lefty and never had trouble with the port location. I actually like it because usually I connect it to the right side of the computer. By coincidence it fits perfectly in my work place

id like to see the port on the side but more left or right then closer to the centre as I do find it difficult to hold sometimes.

the cable does get in the way when im lying in bed.

On my Q10 I'd like to have had charging contacts at least on the bottom and had cradles available for the phone. I was so excited to get a cradle with my Q10 and also so confused for the longest time that I couldn't find one. I was practically in denial that they weren't going to be/available for my device. I still kind am to be honest.

I hope that they design devices in the future with cradle compatibility in mind and that they continue to produce OEM cradles.

so guys, is it just me, or is the charging port on its side ridiculously annoying?! you can't use the phone w/ it plugged. as specially if its a spring type cord.
BUT, i do have it beat!! the Nokia 928 has the port on TOP!! WHAT?? yes.. on top.. so dumb!

What's dumb about it being on top? I would prefer top_left or left_top.
