If it actually comes down to it, BB10 will do just fine in Indonesia, especially with lower prices since the components will be made and assembled domestically. There are actually MANY BB10 lovers in this country. Almost on equal footing with the BBOS, but mostly on account of the price. Which means that if BB10's prices could be lowered to some degree, many will prefer that instead of BBOS. Even with the crappy apps situation, because--like you said, those same people will have no problem buying a cheap android to cover that particular lacking. After all, BBM is king here.

This is a good example of how this licencing can work. BlackBerry is definitely loosing ground to android in the Indonesian market but is still well known and having a phone with a unique local built flavour is going to make the phone more desirable. With almost 300 million people and the second largest economy in Asia Indonesia is not a country to just write off. It will be interesting how well this phone sells being the first localised designed android. Blackberry should have done this a while ago especially in emerging markets and left its in house projects to the western market.
