When OS 4.5 is released on AT&T you will be able to. No one knows when it will be released.

I'm using the East Asia 4.5 official release (non-beta) on my AT&T 8300 and it works great! No rule says you have to use your carriers release. I haven't since I bought it. The latest offiical release for your device is stickied in the 83xx forum. Go for it!
