    Looks like a miniature BBID icon. I have never seen it there before.

    Correct, it is a BBID logo. That probably means that there is a BBID update or there is a problem with it. OP, go to Options>Device>BlackBerry ID and see what the notification is for. My guess is that it is an update as they occurred for me quite often

    Update your BlackBerry ID..
    Also check for updates in your account in BlackBerry app world..
