    Hi,

For legacy and BlackBerry 10 social network apps like Facebook and Twitter, when logging in is the login encrypted via HTTPS?

    Thx,

Been reading Motorola stories huh? lol. I don't have an answer for this right now, nor do I have the patience at the moment to set up everything needed to find out but once I have some time to sit down and figure it out, I'll sniff the traffic off my device and see.

    Hey, thanks!

Actually no, I don't know about Motorola.

I'm eager to find out because I once accidentally logged in to the Facebook app on BlackBerry OS legacy while on a public WiFi network. Lol

    Sorry to bump...

Really still looking for an answer on this.

This is important to know because unlike logging into email when you have the option to using encryption or not, when logging into a social network app, there is no option. So I am very curious to see if the BlackBerry OS and/ot BlackBerry 10 OS requests a secure connection.

Ok let me just come right out with it...I can't believe I did this, but on a public WiFi once I accidentally signed in to Facebook for BlackBerry (legacy). That is seriously, honestly the first time I have ever made a mistake like that. I normally do nothing on public networks other than basic Web surfing. I turned WiFi on my BlackBerry 9860 at the time and forgot it was on and had no mobile signal and when I realized what I did I face palmed.

I've been putting off changing the pswd I use for social network sites because I haven't had any intrusions, I use 2-step where possible, and I was fairly certain BlackBerry would request a secure connection on their Facebook app before letting you log in.

Bumping this again because I really believe this is an important question to be addressed and I don't have the means to test this myself.

I cannot find the answer anywhere for legacy BlackBerry OS nor BlackBerry 10.
