Here's a security idea... a bit of social engineering to help protect an unlocked phone if it's stolen (perhaps before it auto-locks)

Everyone I've showed my BB to with this home screen picture presses the K key and locks the phone! Only those who *know* about BB's are less likely to be fooled.

I like it except that I allow DIALING from the home screen so it would be ineffective unless I change my behavior.

Nope. Just change the text on the second line to

"Press and hold [*A] to unlock"

The A key is set to lock the device too as a quick dial key on a Bold, at least...

Unfortunately this doesn't work on the older models, but great idea though.
