What's the difference between MMS and SMS and why do I seem to get almost 100% of my messages as SMS? What do these letters stand for? Remember I'm a newbie here so be extra nice while also being very informative.
Most carriers have 160 character limit for sending and receiving sms text messages. You can send longer messages by sending it as a mms message. Make sure the person you are sending the message to has mms in their data package. Prior to getting my blackberry, I had a mobile web and sms text combo package. It did not include mms. So if someone sent me a mms message, I had to pay extra for each mms message sent or received. That was an old plan, and they no longer offer it. Just be mindful if the person you are sending mms messages to has mms in their plan.
