Someone please help.
This isn't really a big deal but it's irritating me.

Last night I got locked out of my phone and it deleted everything and reformatted itself. A bit annoying but I had my contacts backed up.

I took out the battery and it restarted but when it did, my SMS, messages and facebook icons changed to the way they USED to be before I did an update a month or so ago. The newer icons were softer and rounder and now the icons are back to the old square-ish ones.

I tried to reinstall and update my phone but nothing's changes. When I plug it into my laptop, it says that it has the latest upgrades.
Anyone know why this is happening?

Check your themes - see if you were using a different theme. A full wipe sets device back to factory settings.

I have never downloaded a new theme.

The new icons surfaced when I updated the software. Not only did it reformat with the new software but then I attempted to install the new software and they still didn't come back.
