Did all cellphones/smartphones go down last night at the midnight hour? I am on sprint and i could not call or text on my crappy tour as well as my girlfriend could not on her sprint transform. Was it just sprint or all carriers?
At midnight on new years eve/day all the networks tend to be really busy and overloaded as everyone tries to make calls/texts/bbms etc to loved ones and friends all over the world, some networks deal with this better than other and from what I've gathered sprint didn't cope very well........

I was able to text and call people in Cleveland. My carrier is AT&T, and they have AT&T/VZW.
One of my friends in Cleveland who has VZW was able to text people here in Cleveland also. He was unable to text or call his brother in NYC (also on VZW). However, NYC is always congested on New Year's Eve.
It was a problem with maybe just your carrier. I was fine on Verizon. But imagine the strain as everyone is trying to call or text at almost exactly the same time.
So next time you'd better send a e-mail on computer at the busy time.ahahaenn
I have a question that whether the 2G(call and sms) has impact on 2.75G(3G).That is to say, although I have a poor singal ,I have a high or normal internet speed! Can anyone explain?Thx
