Just wanted to let my fellow crackberry addicts know... I just OTA downloaded the NEW Blackberry Sling Player. The public beta was to be released tomorrow 12-30-08. Looks like it's up early folks!
Seems that if you are outside US (and therefore cannot use Slingplayer 2.0), you have to use the manual only configuration. To do this, just don't log-in to your Sling account and you will be allowed to set up your connections.
One other thing - looks like the s/w does not detect a device on the LAN. My cludge is to set up two profiles for each box: one with the Finder or public IP address, the other with the LAN address.
