I'm looking to switch from my 9800 to a 9700 (I really do wish I could afford a spare 9780 or better yet - a new BB7 device)
I love my Torch, but the form factor gets tiring after a while..
My question: Is there a way to transfer the emails and texts on my 9800 to the 9700? I know the DM supports backups and such but I'm not sure if it handles backups from a different device being restored on another
i used dm to switch from a curve 8530 to the 9330 3g and i could load everything from the 8530 to the 9330. i just don't know if emails and texts transfer or not.
Device switch should do a full backup and restore. The only loss may be themes or apps that do not work on the new OS or the device.
shouldn't be a problem I think if both devices running OS6 and you make a full backup, correct me if I am wrong...
