    Does slacker and other radio apps run off your cell coverage? or does it run off a different signal? sorry if this is a dumb question, but I live in an iffy coverage area so before installing I rather just ask. thanksss

    The streaming applications will use wifi if available, then your carrier network.
    In areas of poor coverage, Slacker may have an advantage since it can cache stations - Basically downloading them to your phone using a computer.

    Cell signal, but it might still work for you in 1RX.

    I get about two bars (cell signal) at home and slack plays. Beaware that slacker/song may cut out from time to time.
