    Take this for what it is worth, but my friend over on the Skype Community page, sthoms001, claims that the Skype closed BETA is in the home stretch.

    I have no idea who he is or whether he is indeed privy to this info but if he is right then I dont think it will be long now..

    If you believe Rapidberry.net (which is fairly reliable), Skype will be pre-loaded with the Q10 and available for download to Z10 as part of 10.1. So, theoretically, we should see it very soon....since Q10 is coming out end of this month in Canada and in May in other countries......I have a trip coming up in May, and it would be awesome to not have to carry my android phone for using skype...

    If BB10 can get the app magic jack. Then I would not need Skype. Besides magic jack is free to call long distance anywhere. Skype need to pay a fee

    You never want software until it is done. Trust me rushing software does no good for you. It is not like moving into a house that is unpainted. It's more like moving into a unfinished house where the floor could collapse at any moment.

    I am a software engineer and some of you guys think programming is like baking a cake. Nothing is ever cookie cutter and every day is a new wrinkle.

    I believe they wanted to release by the 15th but then they decided to wait until the launch of the BB Q10, so that it would be available for Z10 and Q10, as well as making sure that the Q10 is launched with the latest OS update, so probably at the end of April!

    Forgive me if I'm misinformed... But ummm... Last I checked, Magic Jack does not support Video. I could be wrong though.

    Perhaps not in this particular case, but things like that happen frequently when you get an app four years after it was released on another platform. Tech doesn't stand still, BB needed to come in ready to go, and immediately start running.
