What ever happened to this? Last I heard they were working on it but i have been trying to update myself on when this is gonna come out but I can't find anything..any1 know something I don't? Maybe a release date :P

Only eBay, the current owner of Skype, knows when and if it will ever be released, and they are not saying.

In the mean time, check out iSkoot, they do have a nice BlackBerry Skype client.
