Simple questions about GPS/maps and email
- OK so this is my first post on these forums.
In order to effectively use the bold's gps and mapping apps, do i need a special data plan with my provider? In order to effectively use the bold's push email service, do i need a special data plan with my provider?
I have had problems using these two services, and it's driving me nuts.
I am almost certain i need one, but as this is my first blackberry, i wanted to be sure by asking you people.
Thanks for the responses.08-13-09 12:31 PMLike 0 - you'd probably be best served looking around a bunch as most of your questions would be answered, but yes you need a BIS or BES data plan to utilize both gps mapping and push email services. i believe personal data on ATT with a BIS plan is $30/month and BES is $45/month....don't quote me on the BES though.
EDIT: there may be some smaller data packages you can get, but not sure if you can use them with the blackberry. blackberry uses a different data package than does, let's say, a microsoft based smart phone.08-13-09 12:35 PMLike 0
