    Hi,
Just a quick one i was new to Blackberry 7 month's ago and got a pearl and loved it now I am a BB addict. My area is of low to medium signal strength but had NO problem with the pearl, decided to upgrade to a Bold fantastic phone but poor signal strength (in my area) often cannot call or connect to internet oh well I thought I would get a new Pearl flip, same problem poor signal! Why did my old Blackberry work so well? Have they changed the hardware that receives reception in the new generation BBs as they appear poorer at receiving signal?

    Regards,

    Lez.

it may be the towers....did you call your provider and tell them about your issues with signal?

I'm not sure how it will work with your provider, so you should check with them, BUT when I have this issue I just update my PRL (prefered roaming list) by dialing *228. Maybe O2 has a similar function?
