Side Loading vs Android App Player

One of the great rumours by shorts defeating proclaiming the apocalypse for RIMM is the lack of apps....

But am i correct to assume two things here:

1.) Android apps can be quickly and automatically almost modified (side loaded) to work on QNX? Is this why we are hearing about such a large number of apps at launch (80k or so??)
2.) Thee will be an app player (as already exists for playbook) that can play most of the Android apps anyway?


Please tell where I'm wrong above, its fascinating how wrong the street can be on a stock if this is the case....

They are one and the same - the Android app player is what allows side loaded apps to run.
