Is there any advantage to having the "show my number" feature enabled on the call screen? For example, if my phone is locked (but I have outgoing calls set to allowed), and someone turns the device in to any carrier, will it help that carrier return the phone to me? Do any of you use "show my number" and if so, why?

First, I didn't know it was an option to turn it off. :P
Second, I do use it, because I got a new number recently and always seem to forget what it is, so it's kinda handy to have to refer to quickly mid-call if I need it.

No there is no advantage to having the show my number feature on screen. As long as u already know ur number that is. If you turn it off it doesn't make that much of a difference

I think the only advantage is if you have multiple phones, for example...a personal and a work blackberry. It lets you identify which phone you're using so that you know who the person you're calling thinks you are.

I leave mine off so there's less clutter on the screen.
