Someone stole my Z10 a couple of days ago. I'd really like to get another Z10, but, the Leap looks pretty amazing.

I'm using a Nexus 5 for the time being, but, I really miss how nice the BB OS 10.2 is compared to Android 5.0 Lolipop. I'm just so much more productive on a BlackBerry.

So, my question is for the people who have used BB OS 10.3. Is it better than 10.2? I'm familiar with and absolutely loved my Z10. Should I stick with something I'm familiar with? Or, should I wait for the Leap?

I can get either one for about the same price. The only thing is, I can get the Z10 right now.

I want to make sure I'm not being impulsive, by getting another Z10, and will some better features that the Leap has.

Having owner a Z10, I'd wait for the leap of those were my 2 choices. For the battery life alone. The battery can't get worse.

I tried the Z30 (after I broke my Z10's screen), but, its camera was quite bad. I tried to send in some receipts by taking pictures of them instead of using a scanner, which I don't have) and no one could read the receipts. I never had that problem on the Z10.

There's actually a good thread on how the cameras differ, with the general consensus being, the Z30 just isn't a good device if you want to take photographs. forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z30-f401/comparison-z30-camera-z10-q10-wash-out-colors-grayish-blacks-873561/

I wound up returning the Z30 and fixing my Z10

If it has to be right now, the Z10 (of course), but the Leap is essentially an improved Z10. Especially with regards to the battery life.

I think you should get Z10 again or a Z30, but not Leap, I just think it's overpriced and has "meh" spec but it's up to you anyway

no. it doesn't have to be right now. I can use my Nexus 5 for a month or two. I just want to make sure I'm not going to be missing something that improves my productivity by going with a 10.2 device vs 10.3 device.

Honestly, blend sounds amazing. But, not having used it myself, I don't know if it's REALLY that amazing?

I don't use Outlook, so Blend works as a pretty decent substitute. Being able to text/BBM from my computer is unique. It's still got some teething problems, though (mostly lag).

I thought the Leap's specs made it "meh". But, I use my phone mainly for work, so it's alright with me. Every now and then I will load a movie to watch, but, by and large, I compose emails, docs, send texts, BBMs, sign Adobe Forms. I'm not gaming on it.

Honestly, the biggest pain is having to use my computer to sign adobe forms, since Android, unlike BlackBerry, seems to lack that capability out of the box.

Out of the two go for the leap. Battery life is most likely much better. Plus a bigger screen never really hurts. But if you can get your hands on a Z30 do it.

Thanks for all your help! I think I'm going to go with general consensus here and wait for the Leap. It seems the better battery life coupled with the benefits of 10.3 is a better deal

2 months of using an Android phone shouldn't be that bad :-D

What's with the Z10 battery complaints? Just get a fresh battery for your Z10. My Z10 is 2 years old and outlasts the wall-huggers at my workplace but only because I put in a new battery after a year or so. They are cheap and order a car charger, while you are at it, and maybe even a spare battery / charger combo.
I tell my wife that she will be in trouble (cost + inconvenience) when her Z30's battery stops holding it's charge and the same will be true for Leap.

Do not hesitate and get a Leap. The Z10 is a great device with better screen (not Bigger) but it is 2 years old and its battery life sucks. I'm sure the Leap battery will become a real upgrade!
