I have a black 9780 and I love it. The color is very elegant.
Today, though, I saw the white version of 9700 and let me tell you, I FELL IN LOVE. This thing's a beast! It's so pretty! The details are very well made, especially the gray middle part.

Anyway, I am thinking of getting a white one, LOL. What do you think? Should I get it or will it be some not wisely spent money? The white one is amazing! I mean, look at it

Why waste your money on the same phone you have now just for a different color? You can order a white housing kit off ebay for alot cheaper and change it out yourself.

+1. i did this with my curve 8330. I went from stock silver to black, and then to white... i still have the white one, and play with it from time to time...

i woudn't go and buy a new device tho...

if you are going to start changing the housing etc... make sure the phone is not under warranty anymore, or covered by an insurance plan, as it will surely void the warranty.

Even if I wanted to change the housing it's a difficult task and, even if I do, the LCD has black details around it so it'd look ugly.
But, thanks, I'm not getting one
