    I was thinking, just like Apple names their own processor, from what I heard they do it because the modify them after buying orginal parts. If BB does the same thing, it would kinda put the "low spec" idea of BB and everytime BB can say latest and greatest like Apple does?

    they use Qualcomm snapdragons off the shelf products lately. No reason to name it something else

    Apple names their processors because they design their own. BlackBerry does not, instead using Qualcomm's designs.

    We tend to forget that the majority of smartphone users are just that. Unlike, enthusiasts, I bet most users don't even know or care what the name is. It's kinda pointless in my opinion. Once a sales rep has sold them on specs I would also bet most forget them 10 min later. Lol.
