Twitter stock lost 26% of its market value after awful quarter.

Both BlackBerry & Twitter are productivity tools underrated by investors & undersold by marketing teams. They make an ideal couple. What do you think?

Do you even know that Twitter is valued at probably 4-5 times what BlackBerry is worth?? A social media company that barely makes any profits is worth that much beats me.

To BB or not to BB?

Twitter even after the dive today has 33B market cap so I say no way in hell. There have been several rumors through the years that Google has approached Twitter but I don't see them buying them now either.

Blackberry does not have the financial muscle to buy Twitter. Besides social media site is not the priority of security firm

This is my thought. If they were to buy any company I would hope it would be to further boost their security.. I'd actually like to see them buy a secure email provider

That would make absolutely no sense, given their current focus and strategy.

The worst issue is not that Twitter is valued at more than BlackBerry

The real issue is that Twitter keeps losing money, they're staying alive because investors keep injecting money to them.

That's not a corporation that you want to buy

After the "losses" of the last few days Twitter still has a market cap of about $28 billion dollars. Twitter has revenue of $1.75 billion per year and is not yet profitable. BBRY would need to pay a premium; let's say 20%; to acquire all the stock so $33.6 billion in total. BBRY has about $3 billion in cash the last time I looked. NO ONE is going to loan BBRY $30.6 Billion dollars to acquire $1.75 billion in revenue.

Or, maybe we can pool our money here on Crackberry and buy Microsoft? I hear they are struggling too.

Interesting, I was working for MCI when WorldCom bought us. It was also David buying Goliath but it turned out the CFO was cooking the books...

Even if BlackBerry could I don't think they should. They should stay focused on core services and security software.

First of all, twitter is not a productivity app lol. If it has nothing to do with security, it will not benefit BlackBerry.

Plus, have you seen chen lately? That poor man is stressed out, doesnt need anymore problems.
