Anyone here tried the trade in program on ShopBlackBerry? My Z10 to Z30 Trade in was valued at $50. Been almost 2.5 months and no sight of the promised cash card yet. The Customer Service tool on the website returns an error.
Ya, I guess it is actually within the BlackBerry website, under Where to Buy section, scrolled all way to bottom.
Will check the confirmation emails to see what options exist for following up. Just wanted to know if others here had experience with the turn around times etc.
Wow, after finally locating the support telephone number (they make it difficult to see), I ended up having to describe to them where on their website the trade up program was (Canada site only) and how it is supposed to work according to the detailed there. No there is nothing about being required to purchase a new phone from that website, just to submit the UPC code from the new phone with the old phone being sent in.
Now I'm waiting to hear back once they review further.
They got me an alternate email to send in my status request. Seems BlackBerry does not manage this trade in program and they are not permitted to contact the sub contractor directly.
At least this fresh email Addy hasn't bounced right back as undeliverable like the Customer Support email on the program page.
Further callback from BlackBerry support, they now have higher approval to contact the sub contractor on my behalf and will be following up within a few more days.
Following up on this thread. BlackBerry contacted their sub vendor that handles these tradeups...and the sub contacted me to inform a fresh cheque is on its way.
BlackBerry checked in today to ask if the sub had reached out. All very well handled so far.
