    hey guys i get this error on my black berry curve. I am trying to install yahoo messenger and it will install but when i sign on i get this error. does anyone know if my black berry curve is compatible to install yahoo messenger.

    I am able to use yahoo messenger on my curve with no problems, not sure what problems you might be having with it.

    I never had that problem with yahoo, but that's what I always got with AIM. I read somewhere that it's not the handheld that's having the problem, but your provider not allowing the app. Is that true?

    I'm getting that right now with Yahoo Messenger and I'm using 5.0! I have used Yahoo everyday with no issues and then today all the sudden it just started doin' it!

    Sorry for bringing and old thread back up to the top.. but I just wanted to comment on this problem. bx2md has good advice, ive noticed on crackberrys that if a program doesnt function correctly and you have the correct provisions required by the program (ie. bb data plan), an uninstall, restart & reinstall always works. I had this exact same problem and that is exactly how I cured it.
