Hi there

its obvious that I am a newbie in BB World and in last few days I have read quite a few posts and really want to know what are the SERVICE BOOKS and what they do?

Also what they have to do with Gmail and other email servers like yahoo, hotmail, aim etc.

Service Books are the small data files pushed to your phone from your airtime provider, to configure the supported services. They do things like create your calendar(s), mailboxes on phone, tell the phone what other services are available.
