If I attach a photo from my blackberry to an Email and send it, it seems to take forever. If I send someone an Email with a 500 kB photo, it takes about 2-3 minutes to send. Is this normal?

That all depends on your connection with the network. Sometimes attachments take a while to send and receive. Unless it becomes drastically slower, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I have this issue when I have less than three bars, the email or text doesn't go through. Because the file you're trying to send is so large I think the transmission times out.
CDF3, does this happen all the time or when you are in a particular area? It could be slower if you are in an extended network.
Happens all the time with a 1XEV signal.
