    So, Chen is electing to start selling patents to Huawei. I guess it's part of the overall aim to sell off assets associated to cellphones now. Personally, I wouldn't sell anything to that company.

    They were probably paying BlackBerry licencing fees for the technology already. They reverse engineered it long ago no doubt, so this is just a way to grab a few bucks before it's stolen anyway.

    And some of these dated back to 2007, so the clock was ticking on them anyway...
