I've missed tasks and birthdays before because although I frequently check the hub, I sometimes forget to pull it down to see the other stuff.

Is there a way to change this?

Are you thinking of your Android phone? You don't 'pull the Hub down' in BB10.

The only other way is to look at your calendar. If the tasks are in the calendar it can be displayed on your lock screen.

I'm just saying it's stupid that it requires an extra gesture to view tasks and calendar stuff.

Swipe up and left, then that stuff is invisible unless you swipe down once in the hub.

I have the same problem. Really hope BlackBerry deals with this issue in 10.3.3.

I agree. Tasks and Calendar entries shouldn't require an extra gesture in order to view them.

Huh? How else (apart from the calendar app) are you supposed to quickly today's and tomorrow's events?

Maybe my z30 is special , but I get alerts for my daily tasks.

I get what you're talking about. Never thought about it before. Would you pin all the events to the top of the Hub or just the next one?

But if you swipe up and right from an app to see a message, wouldn't the tasks/calendars take up the screen so you couldn't see the messages?

NO! They're hidden until you pull the menu down with an extra gesture!

Exactly. Just my point. I want to see the messages first, not the calendar and tasks. It works as it should.

I wouldn't have an issue with that but, I have to be honest, you're the first person I've ever heard complain about it. For important appointments I always make sure I set an alarm to help remind me.

the required use of extra gestures on my Passport has been my biggest gripe. I miss the info bar at the top of my old BB Bold 9900. Everything was right up there at the top, all the time, no extra swipes needed. It gave you time, date, the number of emails, voicemails and texts waiting. It was a lot of information at a quick glance, a true productivity machine. All of that done too on a smaller screen. Now with the Passport I have a much bigger screen but nothing is available at a glance. Swipe up, swipe down, swipe sideways.... ridiculous. It's enough to give you A.D.D. If you didn't have it already.

All of that information is available on the lock screen of any BB10 phone, very similar to how BBOS7 showed it in the info bar. Same functionality though, more so even when you take into account that you can see a quick preview of messages on the lock screen as well.

Yeah but with BB10, especially Passport and Z30 I'm swiping all over the place. I'm just tired of it, that's all.

I don't disagree in general. If you're a tween or 20 something, I get the gadgety factor. A bit of Pro-sumer burnout, that's all. You'll get it one day.
