Sounds like your using BlackBerry link...perhaps the software or BlackBerry needs an update.

Instead, subject the BlackBerry to a password and enter it incorrectly 10 times.

To perform a Security Wipe on your device, go into - Settings - Security & Privacy - Security Wipe write BlackBerry in the box to confirm. This will work unless your using a device running 10.3.2 and was used by someone else first
