I needed to wipe out my Blackberry 8520 Curve, so I went to options>Security Settings>Security Wipe. Then I selected e-mail, contacts, etc. and third party applications.
Then I selected wipe. Now my screen just displays the message:
    "Erasing information...
Warning: Do not pull the battery out until erasing is complete."
The square thing with the spinning line (Which shows that something is loading) comes and goes once in a while.
After an hour, the security wipe still hasn't finished, this is taking way too long (correct me if I'm wrong). Is it normal for it to take this long? How much longer might it take? What should I do?
    PLEASE HELP!

It can take a while. In my experience, an hour or two isn't too long, especially if encryption is on (and it always is with me). Only thing is that at some point the screen should say "scrubbing."
